About the Foundation: Jay D. Rickman Jr. was raised in the accounts receivable industry after his parents founded AMCOL Systems, Inc. He was involved in organizations that benefited the industry such as Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA), and was President of AMCOL Systems, Inc. at the time of his death in 2016. AMCOL Systems, Inc. has always considered itself a “learning organization” where people become better through education and training. It was in this spirit, that Mr. Rickman’s family came to memorialize him. The Foundation works to widen and diversify the pipeline of professionals preparing not only to tackle the challenges of improving the financial management sector of the ever-transforming healthcare industry but in bettering their careers as well.
