Columbia, S.C. – (August 15, 2016) AMCOL Systems has announced the hire of their new Chief Compliance Officer Samuel D. Shannon, III. With nearly thirty years of experience in the collection industry, Shannon brings his strong management and audit/supervisory skills to the AMCOL family. “We are very lucky to have him,” said Rena Rickman Johnson, “having a true CCO on staff with Shannon’s vast experience is another demonstration of how AMCOL Systems separates itself from others in our industry.”

Upon graduating from Kirkwood College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Shannon began his work in the collection industry in 1982 as a collector/loan officer with ITT Financial Services. With extensive experience in the legal compliance spectrum, including lending, auditing, and training, he also previously conducted pre-CFPB audits to ensure law firms, debt buyers, and collection agencies were in a strong regulatory position. Shannon has found success in overseeing daily collection operations, as well as compliance with federal and state regulations.
